The
current trend for vintage industrial lighting is proving popular, with
items such as original enamelled factory lights such as Coolicons
fetching high prices.
I have a couple of old electrical and engineering supplies catalogues, bought over the years which contain contempary illustrations and information on some of these fittings and switches, so have scanned them in and reproduced them here.
I am in the process of fitting some of these style fittings in my own home, as can be seen below. I have used Lamps and Lights to supply the appropriate parts to repair these.
Desk lamp used by my late Grandfather. Recently cleaned up and rewired with brass lamp holder and fabric coloured flex.
Enamelled factory light shade. Rewired and fitted to new ceiling rose made from a piece of oak floorboard.
